Dr Shafick Osman

Associate Professor Shafick Osman holds a Doctorate in Geopolitics (Paris-Sorbonne University) and is a Research Associate at the Florida International University (Miami, USA). He is also a Senior Research Associate and a Publications Coordinator at Archipel, an Indigenous-owned corporation in Ottawa, Canada. Shafick is the Deputy Editor-in-chief and Publisher of Outre-Terre, a French journal of geopolitics, and he is an International Board Member of the Journal of the Indian Ocean Region (Routledge) as well as a member of the Indian Ocean Research Group Inc. (Australia) and the Society for Indian Ocean Studies (India).
